Our Story
Built with users. Not just for them.
WheelchairAbility LLC exists because everyday problems deserve everyday solutions — designed by the people living them.

Meet Phoenix Harlee
Founder • Inventor • Disability advocate
Phoenix Harlee's first invention wasn't a product — it was a fix. After becoming a motorized wheelchair user, small daily friction points started piling up. Straps that didn't hold. Tools that fell out of reach. Solutions "built for" the community that missed the mark because no one from the community was in the room.
The first answer was Leg Straps — born out of necessity, not a business plan. When they worked, Phoenix kept going. More prototypes, more listening, more iteration. The Reacher Keeper followed, and with it a patented mounting system (U.S. Patent No. 11,154,129) that finally solved a problem thousands of wheelchair users face every day.
Today, WheelchairAbility LLC treats lived experience as product intelligence. Every design starts with a real routine, a real barrier, and a real user. The goal isn't clever engineering — it's returning small moments of independence that add up to a whole lot of dignity.
Our Promise
"Where there's a wheel, there's a way — and we build the tools that make the way easier, safer, and more independent."
